New specimen trees planned for Queenswood entrance

New specimen trees planned for Queenswood entrance

New trees to welcome visitors

Thanks to the Queenswood Coronation Fund, we are planting a new row of roadside trees along the verge leading up to the entrance of Queenswood.

The specimen species have been schosen to provide interest and colour each season with spring blossom and autumn leaves and attractive bark and foliage.

The trees will include

  • Sweetgum Liquidambar styraciflua
  • Great white cherry Prunus ‘Tai-haku’
  • Birch Betula albosinensis
  • Paperback maple Acer griseum

Please note, there will be some clearing of roadside vegetation, including some small trees, on Monday 24th Febuary, to make way for these new specimen trees.
