Go Toads! - Bodenham Toad Patrol
Bodenham Toad Patrol was established in 2016 by Herefordshire Wildlife Trust's Go Toads! Community Project. Our aim is to protect this local population during the spring annual migration to Bodenham Lake. The toads are collected and safely transported to the lakeside by the patrol team where they can find a mate and spawn.
Record numbers of toads helped across the road to Bodenham Lake
A dedicated team of volunteers has been patrolling the lane alongside Bodenham Lake Nature Reserve all spring, helping over 1,000 toads safely across to the lake to breed.
